Your support allows us to offer abuse prevention workshops to the most vulnerable members of our society: children, teenage girls, women of all ages, and people living with physical or intellectual disabilities

The Centre is a non-profit organization and has been a registered charity since 1984.

How your donation helps:

  • Your $50 donation allows 5 children to attend the Child Assault Prevention (CAP) workshop
  • Your $110 donation will allow a woman or teenage girl to take the Action self-defense course
  • Your $250 donation allows an elementary school class or a daycare group to attend a CAP workshop
  • Your $350 donation helps pay for a one-day ACTION course for about twenty women
  • Your $700 donation helps pay for a complete ACTION course (2 days) for about twenty women

In 2024–2025, the MAPC:

  • offered 36 ACTION classes
  • attended by 302 women and 20 teenage girls 
  • held ACTION classes at more than 15 organizations and 9 public libraries  
  • reached more than 3,695 children, 18 people with intellectual disabilities, and 48 parents and staff members through its Child Assault Prevention (CAP) program 
  • in 25 institutions (primarily elementary schools and childcare centers)
